
AISEP is the fieldwork and discussion program gathering Asian students who are interested in Shogi or other kind of Shogi such as xiangqi or Janggi. This program offers a mutual understanding of Asian cultures through Shogi-kind games. Then it aims to create Asian Youth Network of Shogi, which hasn’t existed ever.
The points of our main ideas are:
1) To show various cultural/social aspects concerning with Shogi
2) To see Asia as the very unique part of the world where Shogi has been quite popular
3) To have an excite communication among Asian students.
And the activities will be:
1) Introduce various kinds of chess with each other and play them
2) Lecture from Mr.Habu, who is the most famous top Shogi(Japanese Chess) player
3) Field trip in Beijing city
4) Visit the institute of Xianqi(Chinese chess) (no yet fixed)
5) Discussion about the common feature and diffrences of various chess.
